I have noticed a large increase in the number of our patients who are having trouble getting through to their caseworkers in Vanderburgh County.  When you call the caseworkers the voice mail greeting gives multiple reasons why it is not necessary to leave a message and once you get pass the greeting you usually get a message that the mail box is full.  Patients are also seeing a delay in getting their benefits, often times benefits are being processed past the deadline/processing time limits.  Comments from Hoosier Healthwise Enrollment Center, Southern Indiana

The mission of this site is dedicated to ensuring that no Hoosier loses their medical care, TANF benefits or nutrition service because of FSSA's privatization.

For the first time in history, Indiana's Family and Social Services Agency has contracted with a private, for-profit out-of-state company to help run state eligibility services. This site is dedicated by Concerned Hoosiers who fear that many of our vulnerable fellow citizens may be harmed or forgotten in the midst of this significant outsourcing.  Please help us do that by sharing your stories about how the transition is going.
